Create & Manage Contract Types

This article explains how to create, edit, and delete a contract type.

Depending on the nature of the position and the type of employees you are hiring, there are numerous types of employment contracts: a permanent contract, a one-year contract, a six-month contract, etc., are a few examples.

Before starting, make sure you have access to Company Settings. If not, please contact your Admin to request permissions.

Create a Contract Type

  1. Go to Company Setting by clicking on the ⚙️ icon > Contract types

  2. Click on + New Contract Type

  3. Enter the Type Code, Type Name, and description for easy finding

  4. Set up Contract Duration

    • Permanent

    • Specified duration: Days, Weeks, Months, or Years

  5. Click Create or Save and Create Reminder to keep setting up a reminder for the contract.

📌 Note:

  • Migrated Contract includes all old contracts you have uploaded to your employee profiles before this release.

Edit a Contract Type

  1. Go to Company Setting by clicking on the ⚙️ icon > Contract types

  2. Find the contract type that you want to edit and click on More (or the ⋮ icon)

  3. Select Edit and adjust the necessary fields

  4. Click on Save to apply changes

📌 Note: The updates will apply to new contracts only. Please make sure you want to edit the contract duration.

Delete a Contract Type

  1. Go to Company Setting by clicking on the ⚙️ icon > Contract types

  2. Find the contract type that you want to delete and click on More (or the ⋮ icon)

  3. Select Delete

  4. Click Delete again to confirm action
