With the new update, line managers can easily keep track of employee’s working hours, overtime, shifts, and clock-in/out locations on the Grove HR Mobile app.

Bulk Approve and Reject attendance

With this method, you can Approve or Reject an employee's attendance for the whole cycle.

  1. From Home, click Attendance > Groups Icon

  2. Select Attendance Cycle

  3. View employees' attendance by scrolling down

  4. Click on Approve or Reject

  5. Select the employees you want to approve/reject and add notes (optional)

  6. Tap on Approve selected to finish

📌 Notes:

  • If this action is made during an employee's shift, your employee will not be able to clock out or edit their past attendance. Learn more here.

  • Upon approving attendance, you will receive this message if employees have clocked in offsite or the location could not be found


Single Approve and Reject attendance

Using this method, you can have a detailed view of employee's actual work hours, how many shifts they were doing, and check their clock-in/out locations and time.

  1. From Home, click Attendance > Groups Icon

  2. Select Attendance Cycle and Date

  3. Tap on Employee name to view in detail (hours worked, shifts, clock-in location)

  4. Select Approve or Reject


Adjust your employee's attendance:

You can only edit attendance records within the last 31 days and at the pending status.

  1. From Home, click Attendance > Groups Icon

  2. Select Attendance Cycle and tap on a date

  3. Tap on Employee name to view in detailed

  4. Tap on ••• icon and select Edit actual/Edit overtime

  5. Adjust actual working hours and add a note

  6. Lastly, tap Save to apply changes

💡Tip: Line managers will be able to see activities history in View Activities if an employee or other line managers/HR had edited the attendance.

📌 Notes:

  • Only pending days can be approved/rejected.

  • Line managers can only approve/reject direct employees.

  • Users can only update the attendance record within the last 31 days (even if Payroll is not closed).

  • Attendance approval/rejection for multiple employees will apply to the whole cycle.
