Offboarding is a process as important as Onboarding a new employee. It guides employees on which tasks need to be completed before their last working day and ensures work is transferred to the next person in charge (PIC) on time.

Offboarding tasks can also be assigned to a specific person or a department for various tasks like collecting the company's properties, confirming the full and final settlement, etc.

It's also a chance to leave the last good impression on resigning employee.

To offboard an employee, follow the guide below:

  1. Go to Employee > Manage Employees

  2. Find the employee you want to offboard and click on their name to open profile. Ex. Thanh Thanh Nguyen

  3. Click the Action drop-down menu and select Offboarding

  4. Update information to the form, then click on Offboard:

    • Last Working Date: Employee account will be deactivated based on this information. If the date is in the past, their account status will automatically change to "Resigned."

    • Manager Reassignment: Employee's direct reports will be reassigned to this selected employee and the org chart will be updated accordingly. If you do not pick a manager reassignment, you may need to update it manually later.

  5. Assign a checklist to ensure the offboarding process runs smoothly

⚠️ Please download any necessary files, reports before the last working day. You will not be able to view employees' available Time Off or Time Off Balance report after this day.

📌 NOTE:

  • After the Last Working Date, the employee account will automatically be deactivated.

  • If you select the Last Working Date that is the day before today, the system automatically adjusts the employee status to Resigned and offboarding tasks cannot be assigned to already resigned employees.
