Grove HR's Time Off module enables Admins and authorized personnel to have an overview of employee time off, view their remaining leave entitlements, and request history along with their balance history. Employee Time Off tab can be viewed by Admins and authorized people only. If you can't see it, this means you do not have access to this tab. You can request permissions from your Admin.
Before starting, make sure you have access to Time Off > Employee Time Off. If not, please contact your Admin to request permissions.
View Employee's Time Off Entitlements
Go to Time Off > Employee Time Off
Enter an employee name in the search box at the top left of the page
The first section you'll see is the remaining leave entitlements, you can view how many days do they have left for each type.

View Employee's Time Off Requests
Go to Time Off > Employee Time Off
Enter an employee name in the search box at the top left of the page
In Employee Request section, select the Types, Status, and Time (Optional)
π‘ Tips: Click on Download as CSV to have a quick report.
View Employee's Balance History
Go to Time Off > Employee Time Off
Enter an employee name in the search box at the top left of the page
Scroll down to Balance History and select Start Date and End date, Type if necessary
Adjust Employee's Balance
Go to Time Off > Employee Time Off
Enter an employee name in the search box at the top left of the page
Scroll down to Balance History and select Start Date and End date, Type if necessary
Click on New Adjustment > Choose a Type and Adjustment (Add or Subtract) and number of days > Leave a remark if needed
Click Save to apply changes
Mass Adjust Employee's Balance
Instead of you having to manually add or remove days from employee balance, which take time and are prone to mistakes, the Adjust Existing Balance feature can help you do that in seconds.
Before starting, make sure you have permission to perform Time Off Import. If not, please contact your Admin to request permissions.
Click the Plus icon > Import > select Time Off
Select Adjust existing balance and download the Template
Open the file and read the Introduction sheet carefully
Move to the Template sheet and fill in the required columns and before saving
π Note:
In the Employee Email and Time Off Type columns, enter the exact values (including upper and lower case letters) as they appear in the Grove HR system
In the Adjustment Amount column, only enter integers with a negative decimal up to three digits. For example, -2.333 days
Positive number: means you are adding days to employee's balance
Negative number: means you are subtracting days from employee's balance
Effective Date: when this action is taken on Grove HR (optional). If you do not enter a date, the system will use the current day as the effective date
Notes: enter a remark (optional)
Upload file and click Next
Map the name of the fields on Grove with the corresponding headers in the uploaded file. Headers that match exactly with the field name will be mapped automatically
Click Preview when all fields and headers have been mapped
Review the results (see the number of records to be created, check for duplications, skipped records, unmapped fields,...etc.) and then click Import
Click OK when finishing.
Now, you can go back and check the balance (Sick Leave Unpaid) and Balance History
