The primary issues for many employees working remotely with a different timezone than your employers would be how to have working records and notifications adjusted to your timezone, rather than following the timezone of the company you work for.

Understanding these concerns, Grove HR has introduced the Timezone Settings feature that enables timezone correction. You no longer have to worry about records not displaying the correct time.

Example:

  • Old version: Office Timezone GMT + 8

    • Timezone GMT + 8: Sandra sees 2 people in Anniversary at 0 AM to 11:59 PM October 1

    • Timezone GMT + 6: Michael will see 2 people in Anniversary at 10 PM September 30 to 9:59 PM October 1 (Michael's actual timezone is 2 hours behind)

  • New update: Office Timezone GMT + 8

    • Timezone GMT + 8: Sandra sees 2 people with anniversary at 0 AM to 11:59 PM October 1

    • Timezone GMT + 6: Michael will see 2 people with anniversary at 0 AM to 11:59 PM October 1

You may find a notification upon logging in to update your timezone

To adjust your timezone, follow the steps here:

  1. Go to your Workspace URL and log in to your account

  2. Click on your Avatar at the top right corner and click on your name to open profile

  3. Click on the Account Settings tab > Account Settings section

  4. Click Edit and select a suitable Timezone

  5. Click Save and confirm to apply the change

⛔️ Caution: You cannot change the timezone during your shift. Please clock out before adjusting your timezone.

📌 NOTE:

  • If you cannot make changes to your timezone, please contact the Admin or HR to request access right

  • All data and events are displayed in the new time zone. Historical data
    (including past attendances) will not be converted to the current timezone

  • Emails, notifications, and due dates will be scheduled based on your timezone

  • Your attendance will be recorded in the new time zone.
